               Velocity

                    Velocity is displacement in a given time. Velocity is speed in a given direction. Velocity is how fast the ball moves from one place to another.  The equation to find velocity is

Velocity = distance/time

V= d/t

Example problem

During a volley ball game, a player runs 6 meters in 3 seconds.  What is his velocity?

V= d/t

The distance is 6.

The time is 3 sec.

V= 6/3

 answer: V= 2 m/s
