Velocity is displacement in a given time. Velocity is speed in a given direction. Velocity is how fast the ball moves from one place to another. The equation to find velocity is Velocity = distance/time V= d/t Example problem During a volley ball game, a player runs 6 meters in 3 seconds. What is his velocity? V= d/t The distance is 6. The time is 3 sec. V= 6/3 answer: V= 2 m/s
